Yesterday, I presented at SQLSaturday #152 in Sofia and it was huge! The event was simply said amazing and it went way beyond my expectations! Thanks Infragistics for making this 1-day event possible!
Below you can find the slide deck of my presentation and the photos are here.
On 29th of September, Sofia will be hosting SQLSaturday #152. Now, that’s huge! And that’s huge for so many ways! Let me explain briefly…
SQLSaturday is a free 1-day training for SQL Server Pros which is organized by PASS (Professional Assosiation for SQL Server) – the biggest SQL Server assosiation in the world. PASS also organizes the biggest yearly SQL Server conference – PASS Summit – which is the most intensive and let’s call it hardcore conference, covering all kinds of SQL Server topics for almost a week.
So, what this means? Because of the nature of SQLSaturday – presentations are led by national SQL Server rockstars – the content is guaranteed. I know for sure that Magi Naumova(blog|web) will be presenting. I really do not know who the others speakers are going to be(check at the end of the post), but what I know is that, if they are presenting on SQLSaturday, they are good. They just have to be!
What this event also means is something that is at least as important as the content if not even more – the networking. The SQL Server community will have the chance to meet once again and talk about the thing they love to do. Their passion.
And at the end – I do not know what else SQLSaturday means. I believe that I am just scratching the surface with what I just said and I am ready for more surprises and I am sure that there’s gonna be more. A lot more.
So, all of you, register now or never and hope to see you there!
Oh… yes. One more thing – please start using Twitter and the hashtag #sqlsat152 😉
Update: Me and part of our team will also be presenting on the event! My presentation will be on building a real-world private cloud solution! Can’t wait. Do you know what I mean? I can’t … wait!
2012 started, isn’t it?
On 19th of January I together with a colleague of mine – Ivan Donev(twitter|blog) will be presenting at Microsoft SQL Server User Group Bulgaria. We are going to be talking about Policy Based Management in SQL Server:
– What is this?
– How can it help you manage your environment and be a better DBA?
– What’s new in SQL Server 2012 and what can you expect from SQL Azure?
– What is EPM Framework and how can you use it in your environment?
– and more…
So, if you’re interested in the subject, hope to see you at 19:00 at Microsoft’s office.
(yes, i know that it’s going to be cold outside, but it’s worth it! :))
Update: You can find the slide deck from the presentation here:. On the link below however, you will find a zipped archive with the slides(if you want to download it) and some useful scripts!
